Key Eligibility Requirements: Law (General) LLM

  • Class 12: NA
  • Bachelors:  An honors degree in law at lower second class or above.
  • Consideration will also be given to applicants with other academic backgrounds who explain clearly their motivation for undertaking the relevant LLM, outlining any relevant legal work experience under the law domain.
  • Factors like university background are also taken into account for this course. 
  • Students with relevant work experience are also strongly encouraged to apply for this programme.
  • The selection is at the sole discretion of the university.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS: 6.5 overall with 5.5 Reading, Listening, 6.0 in Speaking & in Writing.
  • Other English Tests accepted as well eg. PTE, TOEFL IBT, NCUK English Test.
  • Waivers may be applicable case by case.

South Asia Post Graduate Scholarship

  • With the South Asia Postgraduate Scholarship programme, The University of Dundee is offering postgraduate taught scholarships of £5,000 for 1 year to applicants from South Asia.

To be eligible for an award, applicants must:

  • Be studying a full time, 180 credit postgraduate taught programme over the course of 1 year.
  • If you are studying a 2-year full-time programme, you may be eligible for the awards in both years.
  • Be domiciled in South Asia.
  • Have International fee status
  • There is no separate application form for this scholarship and your eligibility will be assessed as part of your programme application. 
  • You will be notified in writing if you have received a scholarship.

Post-Graduate Global Excellence Scholarships

  • Post-Graduate Global Excellence Scholarships are awards of £5,000 per year for the most inspiring applicants. If you have demonstrated excellence through your academic, extra-curricular, or voluntary activities, you can be considered for the scholarship. 

In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold an academic offer of entry for a postgraduate taught programme in any of the University of Dundee’s academic schools, beginning in January 2022 or September 2022
  • The program must be a full time, 180 credit, 12-month programme;
  • Hold International Fee status, as determined by the University.
  • Have achieved either a UK 1st Class Honours degree or a degree considered as equivalent to this level at the discretion of the University
  • There is no separate application form for this scholarship.
  • Eligibility for the scholarship is based on academic achievements.
  • The Admissions Team at the University will assess your eligibility for this scholarship as part of your programme application.

Post Graduate Global Citizen Scholarships

  • The Post Graduate Global Citizen Scholarships recognize applicants who demonstrate strong alignment with the University of Dundee's values of valuing people; working together; integrity; making a difference and excellence. These are awards of £5,000 for 1 year of study duration.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Hold an academic offer of entry for a postgraduate taught programme in any of the academic schools, beginning in September 2021 or January 2022.
  • The scholarship is available to students entering directly into a full-time, 180 credit postgraduate taught programme at the University.
  • Classified as International for tuition fees.
  • Separate application is needed for this course.
  • All applications are reviewed by a panel of Academic staff and an outcome of your application will be communicated to you via email.
