Another rewarding moment for the university is that QMUL’s ‘Software Engineer Degree Apprenticeship’ programme has seen a 15% increment in the BAME apprentices & 15% in female apprentices in the last 4 years which is truly commendable.

The ‘Degree Apprenticeship’ programme offers the students to work at leading corporate firms which helps them to attain insightful work experience along with brushing up their skills & theoretical knowledge about various industries.

Eileen O’Gara, (Head of Apprenticeship – Queen Mary University of London) said that the folks from the entire university are highly overjoyed in supporting both the employers & apprentices at the university. She also stated that it’s a proud moment for all of them as they’re continuing to expand the skills & career aspirations of their apprentices which could be further embedded in future industries easily.

Implementation of apprenticeship programmes has evolved the access of education all over the QMUL for the students. QMUL will also work with renowned firms,i.e, Siemens Mobility, Port of London Authority that would help them to grasp about the latest technologies along with its associated disadvantages which could hamper London’s development in Digital, STEM & Data Science. This would help the university to provide authentic learning material & career opportunities to the students.

Noama Chaudhary ( Apprentice – Business Manager Social Change ) stated that she’s enjoying that she can work & implement change. According to her, everything feels so great from being a paid working individual with no debt & in return becoming a ‘Chartered Manager’ by the end of 4 years. She feels that she’s growing as an individual & exhibits potent leadership, communication, confidence & experience in relevance with the workplace.

QMUL is also ranked 5th in the UK for the percentage of 3* & 4* research outputs & 9th overall in the UK within the list of universities that provide versatile facilities to the students.(Source: Research Excellence Framework 2014). 94.2% of students who graduate from QMUL earn from 18,000 GBP to 317,000 GBP & are placed at reputed corporate firms.
