Course Eligibility

Key Eligibility Requirements: LLM Law & Technology

  • Graduate - 2.1 Honours degree ( 60% average minimum) or above or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in Law, Social Sciences, Humanities or a cognate discipline.
  • Exemption from these requirements may be considered for those applicants who hold a Master's degree (or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University) OR for those applicants with a 2.2 Honours degree (or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University) along with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS grade - An IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each test component or an equivalent acceptable qualification*
  • *For admission to most postgraduate degree programmes, the University will typically accept 70% in the English Language in Standard XII in lieu of an IELTS Academic test, if awarded by CBSE, AICSE or other equivalent Indian examination boards.
  • Students with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply for this programme.
  • A slight waiver may be applicable case by case.
  • Selection & offer is at the sole discretion of the University

  • The International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship is exclusively for new international students beginning their first year of full-time postgraduate study at Queen's University Belfast with one award of £2000 (LLM Law programmes).

Selection Criteria

  • For the academic year 2022-23 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.
  • No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded an International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship upon enrolment.

Queen's Loyalty Scholarship

  • The Queen's Loyalty Scholarship is a 20% fee reduction for first-year tuition fees.
  • Available for Queen's University alumni returning for a full-time postgraduate taught to study or Exchange and Study Abroad students progressing to a full-time postgraduate taught programme at Queen’s University Belfast.

Selection Criteria 

  • Available for eligible international students enrolling 2022/23.
  • For Queen's University, alumni returning for a full-time postgraduate taught to study and Exchange and Study Abroad students progress to a full-time postgraduate taught programme at Queen’s University Belfast.
  • 20% tuition fee reduction in year 1. Exclusions apply, Application is necessary.

Early Confirmation Reward

  • The ‘Early Bird Reward ’ is for New International students with unconditional offers  who may receive a discount of up to 10% when paying their fees by the deadline.

Selection Criteria

  • For new International Students enrolling on a full-time postgraduate programme.
  • Exclusions apply. 10% discount on net fees - may be used in conjunction with other scholarships.
