Ulster University (Magee Campus) to host 250th exhibition of Derry Journal

About the “Derry Journal” anniversary exhibition Brendan McDaid (Editor-Derry Journal) stated that this oldest newspaper has had a very strong connection with millions of people of North West Ireland for the last 250 years & this exhibition is a way of showcasing the same. He also said that “Derry Journal” is a people’s newspaper and their story is certainly everyone’s story. In addition, he further said that this exhibition will feature the significant moments of the newspaper from the historical times out of which one is related to the Diamond area published on 3rd June 1772 by George Douglas who’s the founding editor of this newspaper and published the font of the very first page of this magazine.
